In Cyberpunk 2077, your character’s overall experience level, referred to as V’s level, has different maximums depending on whether you own the Phantom Liberty DLC. For players with the base game, including the extensive 2.0 update, the maximum level V can reach is 50. However, if you have purchased and installed the Phantom Liberty expansion, this cap is extended, allowing you to achieve a maximum level of 60. This higher level cap is exclusively available to Phantom Liberty DLC owners.

Attributes: There are five core attributes in Cyberpunk 2077: Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Intelligence, and Cool. Each of these attributes has a maximum level of 20. This attribute level cap has not been increased in any updates, including the Phantom Liberty DLC. At the beginning of the game, you start with 22 Attribute points, with a minimum of three points in each attribute and seven free points to allocate. Upon reaching the default maximum experience level of 50, you will have accumulated 49 additional attribute points, totaling 71 points. Leveling Up Efficiently
Gaining experience points (XP) is the fundamental way to level up in Cyberpunk 2077. The most straightforward method to gain significant XP quickly is by completing Main Jobs, which are the primary story missions. These missions typically offer the largest XP rewards, though they are often more time-consuming.
Playing on higher difficulty settings also boosts the XP you receive from completing missions. If you’re looking for a challenge and want to accelerate your leveling, consider increasing the difficulty.
Side Jobs and Gigs are another excellent source of XP. While they offer less XP per individual completion compared to Main Jobs, they are far more abundant and generally quicker to finish. You can track all available Jobs and Gigs through your in-game Journal.
Additionally, keep an eye out for NCPD tasks that appear randomly as you explore Night City. These are not tracked in your journal but are quick to complete and usually involve dispatching a group of enemies. Completing these tasks rewards both XP and Street Cred.
For a more repetitive XP farming method, some players have identified specific locations. For instance, a farming spot near the pier in Pacifica has been noted.
